Woman in her dress sense
Have you ever seen a queen? I’m sure if you haven’t seen one physically, you would have seen one in the movies.
What did you notice about queens? I mean their physical appearance. To be more precise, their dress sense.
I have noticed that a queen’s dress sense is typically characterised by a masterful blend of majesty, sophistication, elegance, iconic status, cultural significance, poise and personal touch making her a true style icon.
Queens naturally become the cynosure of all eyes at the presence of them in an event or even at the palace. You can only imagine how the maidservants and menservants look in awe at the her. Even the king would be in awe of his elegant wife the queen.
The queen’s dress sense is one to adopt, right? What woman doesn’t want to look all amazing at the presence and sight of her.
Sadly, not all women keep the dress sense of a queen in high regard.
Yes, I agree there are fashion trends you want to keep up with as a woman but do those fashion trends you want to keep up with portray you as a queen or otherwise?
As a woman, you have to be intentional about the kind of clothes you put on. There’s this popular saying, “the way you dress is the way you will be addressed”.
Yes, I know we as women love attention and appreciates compliment but then are you reflecting the dress sense of a queen?
You must understand that you are a queen first in your mind and second by virtue of your identity in Christ. Or didn’t you know that as a daughter of the Most High, you must portray your identity well? Yes, you should!
A lot of people go like this ”God only looks at the heart, he doesn’t care about the kind of dress I put on”. Really?! Look, dear woman, do not go by that saying.
God clearly stated in 1 Timothy 2:9-10 “in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but which is proper for women professing godliness with good works".
Look all gorgeous as you want but be sure it is modest and clearly defines who it is you are as a person.
Pick an outfit that covers you well and is well fitted and not tight. A fitted and a tight cloth are two different things.
Pick an outfit that spells “queen” and not otherwise.
You don’t derive a sense of worth and respect by opening up parts of your body you should cover and protect as a woman. You derive a sense of worth and respect by covering up.
Dear woman, do not make yourself a common commodity but instead a scarce and priceless jewel by covering up. Did you not know that whatever is covered and protected is of more worth that what is left out in the open? So, next time you pick an outfit, ask yourself, does this portray majesty, sophistication, elegance, poise and personal flair? Ask yourself, does this outfit reflect me as the daughter of the Most High indeed? Be true to yourself when you do that.
You are uniquely beautiful, your worth is far above rubies.
